Upcoming in 2011
- In February, University Business published Dr. Kaufman's article on "Don't Stop Thinking About the Future: Surviving budget cuts to keep professional development and the institutional mission moving forward."
- At the American Council on Education's (ACE) Annual Conference in March, Dr. Kaufman will present "After the honeymoon: Coaching strategies after the first 100 days."
- On April 15th, at the regional American Council on Education/Office of Women in Higher Education's (ACE/OWHE) Annual Conference, Dr. Kaufman will be a Keynote Speaker on leadership resiliency in turbulent times. She will also moderate a leadership panel of campus presidents.
- In the Spring, the Leadership Excellence publication will feature an article by Dr. Kaufman, "Speaking Truth to Power."
- Dr. Kaufman, who is a member of Leadership California's Executive Advisory Board, will moderate a series of Leadership panels at Leadership California's annual programs (May, August and November conferences).
- Throughout 2011, the Journal of Business Strategy, an Emerald Group Publishing Limited, will publish a series of articles by Dr. Barbara Kaufman. Topics include, influence skills, the dark side of overachievers and dysfunctional working relationships.

- Dr. Kaufman presented her talk on "Why Smart Capable Women Sometimes Derail" to the Women's Leadership Institute at California State University Northridge.
- The Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO) Newsletter (Fall 2010, Issue 70) featured Dr. Kaufman's article, "Land Mines Ahead: Why Smart, Newly Appointed Leaders Derail."
March 2010
Dr. Kaufman was the keynote speaker in March 2010 for the Office of Women in Higher Education regional conference that was held on the California State University, San Marcos campus. Her topic was "Why Smart Capable Women Often Derail." She also served as the moderator for the leadership panel on "Stories of Success and Challenges Ahead."
